1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Quibble (quibble.in) is a study product for students in Classes 9 to 12. Students answer questions, receive feedback, and, where allowed, see how other students explained the same ideas.
These Terms are an agreement between you and [Legal entity name] ("we", "us"). They apply when you visit Quibble, create an account, or use a study, feed, or Ask Medha feature. They work together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If those policies and these Terms ever conflict about personal information, the Privacy Policy describes what we collect and why.
If you do not agree, do not use Quibble. If you are under 18, please read these Terms with a parent or guardian. The approval screen a parent sees records their declaration and community choice. It does not currently ask them to sign these Terms separately.
The registered details of the business that operates Quibble are not filled in yet: [Legal entity name], [Registered address]. Do not treat this page as final until those details, and the points marked for legal review, are confirmed.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
Quibble is built for school study. An account can be created for a student aged 13 to 23. We do not offer accounts to children under 13. The study material is organised for Classes 9 to 12.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a person under 18 is a child. Quibble does not claim that its current parent-email flow is, by itself, the verifiable parental consent that Act may require. A lawyer still needs to confirm how that law applies to this product.
In the product today, every student account needs a parent or guardian to approve it before study sessions, Progress, and community actions turn on. That includes students who are 18 or older but still inside the 13 to 23 age range. This is how the product is built. It is not a statement that the law requires parent approval for adults.
Opening a parent's phone, knowing a parent's email address, or receiving mail in a shared inbox is not consent. Consent is recorded only when the person who opens the approval link completes the declaration in section 4.
3. Account Registration and Security
You can sign in with an email one-time code, or with Google. If you use Google, we receive the name and email Google shares for sign-in. We do not receive your Google password, and that sign-in is not access to your Gmail or Drive. The email code only shows that someone can read that inbox at that moment. It does not prove who that person is.
You must give information that is true, including your name, date of birth, school, and class, where Quibble asks for them. You can later correct profile details that the product lets you edit.
During onboarding, a student can say that the login email belongs to a parent, and can use that address for the parent-approval email. That is a shared-inbox arrangement. It does not turn the student into the parent, and it does not replace the parent's own declaration.
Keep login codes and devices private. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account, by emailing admin@quibble.in. You must not open, use, or try to use another student's account.
4. Parental Consent and Controls
After sign-up, a student can enter a parent or guardian's name and email. Quibble sends that address a private link. The link expires after 48 hours. Opening the link, or tapping the button in the email, does not approve the account.
On the approval page, the parent is asked to tick that they are this child's parent or guardian and that they are 18 or older. A second, optional tick chooses whether the child may share answers with other learners. We do not ask for an identity document, and we do not match the parent against a government database. The page records what the person who opened the link declared. It does not prove that person's identity. An email one-time code, including a login code, is not verifiable parental consent.
Two permissions are separate. Approval of learning turns on study sessions and Progress. Community sharing stays off unless the parent also allows it. Without that second permission, the student cannot quibble, react, follow, or post an answer for other students.
Until learning is approved, the student can still open Home, the study list, and the feed. Study sessions and Progress stay off, and Quibble does not save a personal study attempt for a session that the hold blocks. Ask Medha can still be opened. There is no separate public page that explains parent approval beyond this section, the Privacy Policy, and the email the parent receives.
Quibble does not currently offer a button for a parent to withdraw approval. A parent can ask us to turn approval off by emailing admin@quibble.in. If we turn it off, study sessions, Progress, and community sharing stop again. Home, the study list, and the feed can stay available. How a withdrawal is stored, and what Indian law requires before a child's data is used, still needs legal confirmation. Do not read this paragraph as a promise that withdrawal is instant or automatic.
5. Educational Services and AI Evaluation
In a study session, a spoken answer is converted to text. An AI model then writes feedback and scores. Those scores, concept notes, and corrections can be wrong, incomplete, or poorly worded. They are study guidance. They are not a CBSE result, a school mark, a predicted grade, or a statement by your school.
Check anything that matters in your textbook or with a teacher. Quibble is not endorsed by CBSE or NCERT.
Ask Medha is an AI study assistant inside the product. It can explain a doubt and it can be wrong. It is not a teacher, and it is not an official source for the board exam.
Before an answer is treated as shareable, Quibble runs an automated check for bullying, harassment, hate speech, sexual harassment, and sensitive personal information. That check can miss harmful content, and it can flag something that is not harmful. If the check itself fails, the product can continue with academic feedback. Do not rely on it as a guarantee of safety.
6. User-Generated Content
You keep ownership of the original words in your answers. Quibble does not take ownership of student answers.
You give us a limited permission to host those answers, convert speech to text, run the evaluation and safety checks, store the result, and show an answer to other students only when all of the following are true: you choose to share it, a parent has allowed community sharing where that permission is required, the answer is not blocked by a safety flag, and the answer meets the sharing rule. A wrong or partially correct answer cannot be shared. Shared answers can show your name and school, unless you turn on anonymous posting in your profile.
Sharing is voluntary. You can study without posting to the feed.
A new shared post is held as pending until a moderator approves it. Other students see it on the feed only after approval. If it is declined, it is not shown on other students' feeds. The author can still open the decline notice.
If you delete your account, your posts and quibbles are removed from other students' feeds. You cannot undo that yourself. Signing back in and rejoining does not restore those posts or quibbles. We do not promise that every backup, log, or moderator note disappears at the same moment. Section 13 explains what deletion does.
7. Community Features and Student Safety
The feed shows answers that students chose to share and that were approved. Another student can react, follow, or quibble. A quibble is that student's own answer to the same question, not a free-text comment box. The feed may show the number of quibbles next to a post.
Use the feed for study. Disagree about the concept, not about the person. Do not insult, threaten, or single out another student.
Do not post another person's phone number, home address, private email, photos, or other contact details unless you have their permission and, where they are under 18, a parent's permission as well. Profile details Quibble already shows, such as a first name and school, are not an invitation to collect more about that student.
Community actions stay off until a parent allows sharing. That is an extra gate. It does not remove every risk of students contacting one another, and it does not mean every post has been read by a person before the AI feedback was written.
8. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
There is no separate Community Guidelines page. This section is the current set of community rules. You must not use Quibble to do any of the following:
- Bully, harass, threaten, or humiliate another person.
- Post or ask for sexual content involving anyone under 18. That is illegal. Do not post other sexual content that the law does not allow.
- Post obscene or otherwise unlawful content.
- Attack a person or group because of religion, caste, sex, gender, disability, race, place of birth, or a similar ground.
- Pretend to be another student, a teacher, a parent, or Quibble.
- Post someone's private contact details without permission.
- Copy another person's work and present it as yours, or post material you do not have the right to share.
- Send spam, scams, or links meant to harm a device or an account.
- Break into Quibble, scrape it in bulk, overload it, or interfere with another person's use.
- Post false or misleading material, including AI-generated content that is presented as a real student's work or as an official result.
- Post anything else that applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it, does not allow an intermediary to host. The exact list of those duties must be confirmed by a lawyer before this section is treated as complete.
A safety flag on an answer hides the score and the option to share it. That flag is not a finding by a court.
9. Intellectual Property and Copyright
The Quibble name, logo, software, and original screens and text we write belong to us or to our licensors. You may use them only to use the product. You do not receive any ownership of them.
Your answers stay yours, on the limited permission in section 6. Questions and passages drawn from textbooks or board material stay with their owners. Quibble is not an official copy of a CBSE or NCERT publication, and neither body endorses Quibble.
If you believe a post uses your work without permission, email admin@quibble.in with the page address, what you own, and how we can reach you. There is no separate copyright form in the product. We will review the report. This page does not promise a number of days for that review. A lawyer should confirm the notice process required under Indian copyright law before publication.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
The Privacy Policy describes the information Quibble collects, the companies that process it for us, and how to ask a question about it. The Cookie Policy describes the sign-in cookie. Please read both with these Terms.
When you submit an answer, the text of that answer and the related question can be sent to the AI and speech providers named in the Privacy Policy so Quibble can return feedback. Ask Medha messages are also processed to produce a reply. We do not promise that this information is deleted the moment a session ends, or that no copy remains with a provider.
To ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal information, email admin@quibble.in. Parent approval is described in section 4. What the Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires for children, including verifiable consent and a child's rights, must be confirmed by a lawyer. This page does not say that Quibble already meets every duty in that Act.
11. Reporting, Moderation and Grievances
There is no report button in the product today. If an answer, quibble, or account breaks these Terms, email admin@quibble.in and include the page address. You can also use the Contact page.
Moderators can approve or decline a post, and can remove a post from the feed. A declined or removed post is not shown to other students. We may also refuse to display an answer that the safety check has flagged. Moderation is not a promise that every harmful post will be found, or that every decline is correct.
For a complaint about content or about the service, write to admin@quibble.in. The skip-level address on the Contact page is a product contact. It is not, by itself, an appointed grievance officer.
Grievance officer details required for publication are not filled in: [Grievance officer name], [Grievance officer email], [Registered address]. We will follow the response times Indian law requires once those duties are confirmed. This page does not invent a shorter or longer deadline.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may refuse a post, turn off sharing, or stop an account from using Quibble where these Terms are broken. We will treat child-safety violations, and repeated harm to other students, as serious. The product does not currently run an automatic strike counter, and this page does not create one.
There is no appeal button in the product. You can email admin@quibble.in and ask for a review. We will look at a clear mistake. We do not promise that an account or a post will be restored.
You can stop using Quibble at any time. Section 13 explains deletion.
13. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You can delete your account from the account screen. Deletion signs you out and marks the account deleted. Your posts and quibbles are taken off other students' feeds. You cannot restore them yourself.
If you sign in again, Quibble asks whether you want to rejoin. Rejoining is a fresh start. Previous posts and quibbles stay hidden. Study attempts, feed copies, follows, reactions, and notifications from before the fresh start are removed. Parent approval is asked for again.
Deletion does not promise that every copy is erased immediately. The account record can remain so we know the account was deleted. Safety flags, moderator notes, and backups can remain for as long as we need them to keep students safe, to handle a complaint, or to meet a legal duty. The Privacy Policy is the place for retention periods. Where that policy and the product differ, the product behaviour in this section is what the account screen does today, and the policy should be updated before publication.
14. Availability and Changes to the Service
Quibble can be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or a failure we do not control. Features can change or stop, including a subject, a feed tool, or Ask Medha. We do not promise that a chapter, score, or post will stay available.
Where a change would reasonably matter to how you study or to a parent's approval, we will try to say so in the product or by email. We will not always be able to give notice before an urgent security or safety change.
15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Study feedback, scores, and Ask Medha replies are generated automatically. They can be wrong. They are not formal examination results and they are not professional advice. You are responsible for how you use them in school.
To the extent Indian law allows, Quibble is provided as available, and we are not liable for lost marks, a missed exam outcome, or other indirect loss that comes from relying on feedback. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right, or a liability, that Indian law does not let us exclude. That includes rights a consumer or a child may have, and liability for fraud or for any other cause that cannot legally be limited.
A lawyer needs to review this section before publication. It is a cautious limit, not a waiver of statutory rights.
16. Changes to Terms, Governing Law and Contact
We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page will change. If a change materially affects students or parents, we will tell you in the product or by email where we reasonably should. If you keep using Quibble after the update, the new Terms apply, except where the law requires a clearer agreement, including for a child or a parent.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in [City], India, are the chosen courts, except where a consumer, a child, or another statute lets a claim be brought somewhere else.
