What Quibble is

Quibble (quibble.in) is a study platform for Indian students in Classes 9 to 12. Students answer questions aloud, get feedback, and see how classmates and peers explained the same concepts.

Information we collect

  • Name and email address, used for login and identifying you to classmates on the platform
  • School, class and board, used to show you the right questions and connect you with students at your school
  • City and state, derived from your school, used to show relevant content from your region
  • Your spoken answers (converted to text) and the scores they receive, used to track your progress and, if you choose to post them, shown to other students
  • Basic usage data — which chapters you study, how often you use Quibble — used to improve the product

Google and email sign-in

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google to create your account. We do not receive or store your Google password, and we do not access your Gmail, Drive, or any other Google data. If you sign in by email, we send a one-time code to verify it's you.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not use your data to show you ads. We do not share your answers or profile with anyone outside Quibble except the service providers listed below, who process data on our behalf.

Who else sees your data

  • Supabase — hosts our database (Mumbai region)
  • Anthropic and OpenAI — process your spoken answers to generate feedback and scores
  • Deepgram — converts your speech to text during a session
  • Resend — delivers login emails
Each of these processes data only to provide their specific service to Quibble.

Answers you post publicly

If you choose to post an answer to the feed, other students at your school and beyond can see your name (unless you post anonymously), your answer, and your school. You can turn on anonymous posting in your profile at any time.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, turn on anonymous posting, or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal data; publicly posted answers may remain visible with your name removed, since other students may have learned from them.

Children's privacy

Quibble is built for students in Classes 9 to 12, most of whom are minors. We collect only what's needed to run the study platform described above, and we don't use student data for advertising.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
